About Los Cabos

Los Cabos is the name of the area located at the tip of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula which includes two distinct towns: the action-packed Cabo San Lucas and marina and the charming colonial San José del Cabo. The two areas are connected by what is referred to as the Corridor area.

One of the world’s premier resort destinations, Los Cabos offers luxury accommodations including vacation villa rentals and beachfront resorts, hot nightlife, fine dining, outstanding sportfishing, exciting tours and activities, and modern amenities.

1. Cabo San Lucas, Marina, and Medano Beach. This area has the most consistently swimmable beaches in the Los Cabos Area. Wave runners, paddle boards, parasailing, water taxis and other water activities are readily available. If you don’t mind walking knee deep into the water, you can catch a water taxi on the beach to head over to the Marina area or head out to the “Arch” rock formation.

Land’s End Arch. This is the area that is the actual tip of the Baja Peninsula.  This is considered to be in the San Lucas area.  The hotels here actually sit on the Pacific Ocean and the currents and drop-off make the beaches unsafe for swimming. It is here on the hills of Pedregal that overlook the ocean which offers many luxury vacation rentals that is closest to downtown Cabo area.

2. San Jose Del Cabo.  San Jose is not as busy as San Lucas as there are more quiet getaways here. Just 30 minutes north of Cabo San Lucas is the quaint and artsy town of San Jose del Cabo. This historical town features art exhibits, superb restaurants, a local town square with a colonial mission and cute narrow cobblestone streets.  San Jose del Cabo was the original community in the most southern tip of Baja California when the original Mission de San Jose Anuiti was built in 1730. The current church residing in the square was rebuilt in 1932. Today, San Jose is the up-and-coming trendy town, coming alive with a vibrant musical scene, art galleries, chic shops, boutiques, and exquisite dining, yet it still has the old-charm feel that portrays real life in a Mexican small town.  You will fall in love with this charming colorful town, encounter warm people, and be entertained at the center town square for weekend festivities. Enjoy and take your time exploring the unique charm that this town has to offer during your stay in Los Cabos.

3. The Corridor (Between San Jose and San Lucas).  This area is just the long stretch (corridor) that connects San Jose and San Lucas.   Much like San Jose, it is a good location for quiet getaways.  Almost everything that you do outside of your accommodations will require transportation.

Outside Los Cabos area is a number of Baja Sur destinations that also offer plenty of vacation wonders including the East Cape, La Paz, Todos Santos and the more remote (but wildly beautiful) Loreto. The peninsula’s East Cape, just northeast of San José del Cabo, is a rocky, romantic landscape of beaches, coral reefs, dive sites, hiking paths, and waterfalls, along the coast of the Sea of Cortez. Keep driving north and you’ll hit La Paz, the capital of Baja Sur, an easygoing maritime port that’s a great jumping-off point for adventures on land and sea as well as a pleasant cultural center in its own right. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please contact us and we’ll help you find the perfect Cabo Condo or Villa Rental for your next Cabo Vacation!
