Cabo San Lucas

Lover’s Beach:  Located where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez and near the famous El Arco, The Arch, this beach is safe for swimming and snorkeling.  Take a water taxi from the marina or Kayak from Medano Beach across the bay.

Medano Beach:  Located in downtown Cabo San Lucas, Medano Beach is the place to be.  With Mango Deck, The Office, Billigans, and Baja Cantina on the Beach along with a number of resorts and other small restaurants/bars there are always loads of choices.  Enjoy a cook drink in the sand or take advantage of one of the many activities happening right on the beach which include but are not limited to: Parasailing, Kayaking, Banana Boat, Glass Bottom Boats, Jet Skis

Corridor Beaches:

Widow’s Beach:  This beach is located at Km. 12.5 where the Twin Dolphin Hotel used to be.  Plenty of pristine sand, tidal pools and marine life.

Santa Maria Bay:  This bay is a popular snorkeling bay and is a good choice for family swimming.  As a protected marine sanctuary many species of tropical fish can be seen.  Watch for the sign at Km 13 and follow the dirt road to the parking lot.

Chileno Bay:  This beach is located at Km 14.5 and is another popular snorkeling and swimming area. While snorkeling don’t be surprised to find loads of tropical fish, eels, starfish and urchins in the calm shallow water. Look for the hidden beaches at the southwest end.  This area is well marked from highway #1.

Tequila Cove at Cabo Real (Bledito Beach):  About halfway between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, Bledito Beach is located in front of the Melia Cabo Real and The Hilton. The beaches in this area are perfect for beachcombing, jogging and horseback riding.  Km. 19.5

Palmilla Bay:  Located in front of The One and Only Resort at Palmilla, this bay is a long, crescent shaped bay that is good for snorkeling and perfect for swimming.  Km 27

San Jose del Cabo

Costa Azul Beach:  Home to Zippers, a great place to grab a bite to eat and enjoy the surf, this beach is the beginning of the San Jose beach zone.  Enjoy a cold drink at Zippers and watch the surfers ride the waves.  Access at Km 28 under the bridge, through the arroyo.

Hotel Beach

This beach is one mile from downtown San Jose del Cabo and along Hotel Row.  At the far east end of this beach you will find the San Jose Estuary and a sea turtle nursery.  Horseback riding is also available.    Enter along the beach drive or access between the Crowne Plaza and Royal Solaris hotels.

East Cape

Cabo Pulmo Marine Park:   Located on the East Cape this Marine Park is perfect for a day trip with safe swimming, snorkeling, diving and kayaking.  Most divers make the trip to Cabo Pulmo as it is a favorite.

1 cup water
1 cup flour
¼ teaspoon salt
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon sherry wine
1 cup cooking oil
Powdered sugar

Bring water to boiling point in a saucepan. Remove saucepan from fire and gradually add sifted flour with salt. Beat vigorously until fluffy and smooth. Add egg with wine and continue beating until batter is smooth and shiny. Heat oil in a deep pan until medium hot. Pour batter in a pastry tube and drop small amounts of batter, about 4 – 5 inches long, in the hot oil. Fry both sides until golden brown and remove Churros to absorbent paper to drain. Roll each one in powdered sugar while still hot. Serve with hot cocoa.
