Maria Corona

Maria CoronaMaria Corona is a restaurant located in downtown Cabo that recently opened as a sister restaurant to Baja Cantina Dockside and Baja Cantina on the beach.  This beautiful restaurant is named after the owner’s grandmother and the menu is composed of traditional Mexican dishes.  Many of these recipes were passed on from generation to generation and some date back to before the discovery of America.

We have known the owner for 9 years and when he announced he was opening another restaurant we knew we could expect the same quality of food, service and atmosphere.  The menu is diverse, food is delicious and service is excellent.  The staff takes pride in every dish prepared, starting with the selection, care and handling of quality ingredients to the traditional techniques in which they are prepared.

Make sure you stop in for lunch or dinner at Maria Corona and tell them that Baja Sur Vacation Rentals sent you. If you’d like, take a look at some pictures we’ve taken at Maria Corona.

Baja Cantina Dockside

Located behind the Tesoro Resort at the L-M dock on the marina, Baja Cantina is another favorite of both tourists and locals.  Enjoy your favorite cold beverage while relaxing on the marina with a view of Land’s End, beautiful yachts, sailing vessels, and the active life of Cabo.  Live entertainment is provided in the early evening and lively music over the sound system for night time enjoyment.  The owner has kept the sports enthusiast in mind with an ample number of TV’s to watch your favorite team.

The chef is always glad to prepare the fish you caught.  We took dorado in for a fabulous feast not too long ago. The dorado was prepared in 4 different ways for everyone to taste. Delicious!

In my opinion they serve the best Caprese Salad in town.  They have always had great pizza and their fish and Mexican menu items are all good!

Baja Cantina has a varied menu and is great for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

****Don’t forget Baja Cantina on Medano Beach!  Same quality of food and enjoy dining on the Beach.

Los Cabos Welcomes New Cultural Pavilion

Cultural CenterNarciso Agúndez Montaño, Governor of Baja California Sur and Consuelo Sáizar, President of the National Council for the Culture and Arts lay the first stones for the new Cultural Pavilion of the Republic in downtown Cabo San Lucas near the marina.  The Cultural Center is being constructed as part of the national bicentennial celebration of the independence of Mexico from Spain and the centennial of the Mexican Revolution.  The Centre for Art and Biodiversity Pavilion is the first stage of this project that is scheduled to be completed by September 2010.  This $40 million project will also include a closed and open-air theatre, shopping center and 2 cinemas.
