Los Cabos Welcomes New Cultural Pavilion

Cultural CenterNarciso Agúndez Montaño, Governor of Baja California Sur and Consuelo Sáizar, President of the National Council for the Culture and Arts lay the first stones for the new Cultural Pavilion of the Republic in downtown Cabo San Lucas near the marina.  The Cultural Center is being constructed as part of the national bicentennial celebration of the independence of Mexico from Spain and the centennial of the Mexican Revolution.  The Centre for Art and Biodiversity Pavilion is the first stage of this project that is scheduled to be completed by September 2010.  This $40 million project will also include a closed and open-air theatre, shopping center and 2 cinemas.
