October 12, 2009 – Todo Santos Fair and Festivals
This event held in Todo Santos, about 45 minutes from Cabo San Lucas, is the date of the festival of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, the patron of Todos Santos.  It is celebrated as the founding of the town of Todos Santos.  There are activities including a fair and live music in the plaza most of the week.  There is dancing to live music in the evenings on the zocal and lots of food and drink.

Columbus’ arrival to the Americas and the historical origins of the Mexican mestizo race which blended the Spanish and the indigenous is also celebrated on Oct. 12.

October 18, 2009 – Fiesta de Cabo San Lucas

This festival celebrates the patron saint of Cabo San Lucas.  Streets are closed off downtown for a parade and the festival features dancing, music and food.
